From Winter Hibernation to Spring Bloom

Time to shake off the winter blues and embrace the new season with renewed motivation and energy.

Hey there homies! Who else is ready to bid farewell to the cozy darkness of winter and welcome the vibrant bloom of spring?  Whether you are channeling your inner Mary Poppins or Rosanne, let’s get ready to conquer all the things!

It’s like we’ve been hibernating all winter

Snuggled up in our comfy blankets, binge watching Gilmore Girls for the nth time, all while mainlining coffee just to get us through after the holiday rush.  It’s finally time to emerge from our blanket forts and blossom into the bright and beautiful springtime!  I don’t know about you but I have been itching to get back to stitching, not to mention all of the delicious cooking I’ve been doing!  The house may not be holiday-clean but we’ve been chipping away at different projects and spring cleaning is officially in full force.

As a homeschool mom and handmade business owner, the struggle is real.

We may not be in the same boat, but we sure are sharing the same ocean!  Constantly juggling multiple roles and responsibilities, from schooling to business, to cooking up healthy meals, and don’t even get me started about the never ending story that is laundry!  But guess what mama?  We’re like magical beings, with capes of patience, tiaras adorned with creativity, and our wands filled with love and determination.  Maybe we can’t do it all, but what we accomplish, we are going to do it fabulously!

So let’s take a cue from my favorite 80s pop song

Embrace the “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” attitude!  Throw on our “Eye of the Tiger” and when it comes to lingering winter sluggishness, be willing to “Let It Go”.  It’s time to “Shake It Off” and “Work It” like the fierce and fabulous mamas we are!

Here are a few tips to help you transition from winter hibernation to spring bloom:

  1. Spring Cleanse: Just like we cleanse our bodies in the spring, let’s do the same for our homes, minds, and hearts. Declutter your physical space, let go of negative thoughts and emotions, and make room for fresh energy and inspiration.
  2. Set Intentions: Take some time to reflect on your goals and intentions for the spring season. What do you want to accomplish in your family, your career, and your creativity? Set clear and achievable goals to keep you motivated and focused.
  3. Create a Routine: Establish a daily or weekly routine that works for you and your family. Having a structure can help you stay organized and productive, while still allowing for flexibility and creativity.
  4. Self-Care: Remember to take care of yourself, mama! Make time for activities that bring you joy and relaxation, whether it’s reading a book, taking a bath, or spending time in nature. A happy and healthy mom is the foundation of a happy and harmonious home.
  5. Celebrate: Don’t forget to celebrate your accomplishments, no matter how small. Every step forward deserves recognition. Take the time to acknowledge your efforts and reward yourself for your hard work.

As we embrace springtime, let’s remember that we are capable of great things.  Whether you homeschool, run your own business, or whatever it is you are juggling day to day, you are a superhero extraordinaire!  Let’s bloom into our fullest potential and make this spring season our most vibrant and successful yet.
