Description

Week 9 is all about “Sewing Architecture.” We are moving into 3D shapes and circular construction. This project is a wonderful exercise in control and patience—the ultimate test of a steady hand.

What we will cover in this session:

  • Steering Through Curves: Mastering the “needle-down” pivot to create perfect circles.

  • Concentric Casings: Learning how to sew two parallel circles to create a hidden drawstring tunnel.

  • Double Drawstrings: The secret to a pouch that pulls closed perfectly from both sides.

  • Clipping Curves: Why we “snip” fabric to make round projects sit flat.

The Project: Each student will create a Circular Travel Jewelry Pouch. It’s padded, functional, and features a magical transformation when the strings are pulled!
