In Week 3, we move beyond simple straight lines to master the art of the Pivot. This technique is the secret to sharp corners and professional shapes. We also dive into the “filling and finishing” stage of sewing.

What we will cover in this session:

• The Pivot: Keeping the needle down to turn 90-degree corners with total control.

• Handling Texture: Introduction to Flannel—learning how “fuzzy” fabrics behave differently under the needle.

• The Ladder Stitch: A hand-sewing masterclass on how to close a project with an invisible seam.

• Fillings & Aromatherapy: How to safely fill and scent a project with rice, flax, or lavender.

The Project: Each student will create a Scented Eye Pillow. This project is a fantastic exercise in patience and precision, resulting in a high-quality item that looks (and smells!) store-bought.
